In an interview to Geelong Advertiser, Mark Awramenko of Highton Auto Service said the only change in constantly thriving car service business being purchasing trends by customers.
"People that used to buy a new car every couple of years are holding onto them longer," Mr Awramenko said.
As a local business owner, Mr Awramenko said it's important to advertise locally and get involved in the community as much as possible.
"We advertise in the local paper and with local sports clubs, because we have found that if we support them, they support us," Mr Awramenko said.
Like many small business owners, Mr Awramenko relies on repeat business and new customers through word of mouth.
"We strive to do the right thing because word of mouth really only comes from doing a good job," Mr Awramenko said.
